Green Lens International

Green Lens International is a creative non-profit organization based in Kampala, Uganda, dedicated to advancing environmental conservation, climate justice, and clean energy adoption through powerful visual storytelling, grassroots education, and community engagement. Founded in 2014 by Nelson Byanyima (also known as Nelly Salvatore), the organization began as a clean cooking advocacy project and has since evolved into a vibrant platform for environmental communication and action. Officially registered in 2021, Green Lens International leverages photography, documentaries, podcasts, digital media, and live events to raise awareness, influence behavior change, and empower communities—especially youth and women—to be at the forefront of climate solutions. The organization also delivers training, consultancies, and research support in areas such as clean cooking technologies, climate adaptation, and sustainable development.
